Untere Valentinalm - Obere Valentinalm

Access to the starting point:
From Trbiz/Tarvisio, take the motorway to Udine/Vidmo. Leave the motorway at Carnico and first follow signs for Tolmezzo, then signs for Austria and the Pso di Croce Carnico Pass / Plockenpass. At the pass, descend to the Austrian side past the Plocken Haus hut. Soon the road branches off to the left towards the Untere Valentinalm hut, where there is also a small parking lot.

Path description:
At the cottage, turn onto the mountain road after the Ob. Valentinalm and Wolayer See. The road is quite sloping and closed to public traffic. Soon we leave the road and turn right onto a track which later crosses the road several times and leads us in less than an hour to the Obere Valentinalm hut from which there is a nice view of the Rauchkofel (2460m) and the north face of the Kellerspitzen (2769m).
