We descend from the parking lot to the stream and take a footpath on the other side that goes through the forest. After a few minutes, the path from Aljažev dom joins ours and we continue left, still through the forest.
After an hour, we reach the screes, where we go right towards the wall. Orientation should not cause any problems, since the road is well trodden.
When we reach the bottom of the wall we must take a left and continue our way on the scree, but must be cautious, not to start the rock fall. We continue this way until the steepness reduces. Than we go through a valley full of big rocks (called boulder) and continue depending on the weather conditions.
We usually go through the valley and slightly to the left under Visoka Vrbanova špica, but this part is pretty steep and could represent great danger in wrong weather.
When the conditions aren't good, we go right under Begunjski vrh and than left. After a steep part, we reach a saddle, from which a beautiful view of Triglav appears.
From here on there is about a 5 min walk to Staničev dom that has a winter room. On the saddle we go left and find the best way to the top (a bit right and through the middle of a not very steep slope).
