Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Lesce and follow the road in the direction of Bled, where you will be directed to the right at the semaphorised crossroads marked for Pokljuka. Follow this road, which takes you through a few villages in the lower part and then starts to climb steeply, to the Sport Hotel on Pokljuka. Park in a suitable space on the roadside or near the hotel. Only guests are allowed to park in front of the hotel.
Path description:
From the Sport Hotel on Pokljuka, or from where we parked, we first return to the main road, from where we continue towards Rudni Polje. After a few 10 m, a forest road branches off to the right, along which the marked trail to mountain pasture Zajavornik and Blejska koča on Lipanca continues. Continue along the above-mentioned road, which continues through the spruce forest without any major changes in altitude. After about 20 minutes, the road ends and leads to a turning point from which we continue straight on the ascending cart track. After a few minutes of moderate ascent, we arrive at a small pass from which the marked path begins to descend towards the nearby mountain pasture Zajavornik, and we leave the marked path at this very point and continue to the right along the undistinguished forest ridge of Linden Hill. From the point where we left the marked path, we walk eastwards, following a ridge, from which a view opens up towards mountain pasture Zajavornik. When a view of an old coppice opens up on the right, we gradually move to the top slope of the aforementioned hill. Continue eastwards for a short distance and then emerge from the forest onto a slope covered with a few young spruces. Here we turn slightly to the right and continue our ascent towards the highest point, which is not so distinct at first. Higher up, you see the hunting observation post at Lipenšči hrib, which you can reach without too much difficulty in a minute or two of further walking. From the top, or even a little lower, we have a nice view of Tosc, Viševnik, Mrežce, Debela peč and other surrounding peaks.
