Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway, take the Lesce exit towards Bled and on to Bohinjska Bistrica. Continue towards Bohinjsko jezero (Ribčev laz), at which you will come to a crossroads, where you will cross a bridge at the Church of St. John and turn right into Staro Fužina. Here, at the crossroads by the chapel, turn sharp left onto the ascending road towards mountain pasture Blato, mountain pasture Vogar and the Voja valley. The road leads to a place where tolls and parking fees are collected, and we follow it on to the next crossroads, where we continue left (right Voje). At the next crossroads, after a while, we take a sharp right in the direction of mountain pasture Blato (straight mountain pasture Vogar). Follow this road to the parking lot above mountain pasture Blato.
Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the dirt road, which takes a few steps past the ramp to a right-hand bend. Here, to the right, about a metre above the road, is the start of a hunting trail, which leads us over a short, very steep slope with the help of an aluminium wire. The path soon passes into the forest and turns slightly to the right, where it soon crosses a wide cart track. Continue along the path through the forest, which climbs parallel to a relatively steep track. At a higher altitude, the track turns left and is joined on the right by a track which leaves the track about 15 minutes above mountain pasture Blato.
The hunting trail continues through the forest with a few short steep climbs and after a good hour's walk leads to a small hunting lodge on the left side of the trail. From the hunting lodge onwards, the path soon leads out of the forest, where it rejoins the cart track. It is only a good five-minute walk to mountain pasture Krstenica, where a beautiful view of Ogradi, Krn and the Lower Bohinj Mountains opens up.
From mountain pasture continue along the path, on the west (left) side of mountain pasture. After only a few dozen metres, several smaller paths merge into one, clearly visible path. The path continues with a few short ascents and descents, crossing the slopes of Krsteniškės and Jezerski Stog. After about half an hour's walk from mountain pasture Krstenica, the path leads into the grassy world of the abandoned Mountain pasture Jezerce.
At a water trough, climb a few tens of metres right up towards Jezersko Preval. Leave the marked path here and head left into a small valley below the scree, where you will see an unmarked path. The path, which climbs gently at first, then crosses the slopes below the cliffs on our right in a gentle descent. A little further on, the path turns right and starts to climb along a path that is less visible in places. The path then leads us through a series of small valleys to the slopes of Prevalski Stog. Here we see Mišeljski preval in front of us, located between Škednjovec on the left and Prevalski Stog on the right. The path, which climbs quite steeply in the last metres, leads us to the aforementioned preval. Below the pass, we reach a marked path leading from the left, with Lazovški preval between Ogradi and Debeli vrh. Follow the track down towards Lazovški preval for a few minutes to the cairns marked turn-off to the right into the valley between Debeli vrh and Škednjevec. (A more direct and more pathless variant of approximately the same length is possible, starting sharp left at a suitable point soon after first sighting Mišeljski preval, between grassy valleys, dwarf pines and upwards until reaching the marked path between the two passes and the valley turnoff). Following this valley at the foot of the south face of Škednjovec, climb towards the pass between Vrh Hribaric and Škednjovec. You can either walk on the scree or climb the ridge on the left and follow it to the pass. At the pass, first take a breather at the fantastic view to the north that opens up (Kanjavec, Mišeljski Konec, Triglav, Rjavina, Mišelj vrh, Vernar, Tosc, etc. are all right in the palm of your hand), then put your helmet on your head and start climbing carefully along the western ridge. Around a cliff on the right, but mostly follow the sharp, exposed, sometimes overhanging and crumbly ridge to the top. At the top is a small man. The route is very demanding, difficult in terms of orientation. Mihelič recommends a rope and a guide. Take care especially on the descent.
Notes: From mountain pasture Blato to mountain pasture Jezerce is an easy unmarked trail, from Jezerce to the junction with the marked trail is a less well-trodden path, from cairn down the valley, a clearly visible path marked by the rare cairns, climbing on the left side of the valley is more of a search for passages, the west ridge is one with a place 2. Difficulty level.
Times: Blato - Krstenica 1:30, Krstenica - Jezerce 30 minutes, Jezerce - Mišeljski preval 1 hour, Mišeljski preval - pass between Škednjovec and Vrh Hribaric 1 hour, pass - west ridge - summit 30 minutes.

Discussion about the trail Planina Blato - Škednjovec (on west ridge)

Nato z vrha Mišeljskega konca do Mišelj vrha, vmes še na en travni vrh in spust z njega z oceno II in naprej do Mišelj vrha, lažji prehod-obvoz desno.
