Access to the starting point:
From Železniki drive to Tolmin or vice versa, and follow the road to Petrovo Brdo, where you can park at the parking lot next to the Petrovo Brdo Mountain Home. The mountain lodge is located in the immediate vicinity of the crossroads where the road to Soriška mountain pasture branches off.
Path description:
At the junction where we parked, we see the mountain direction signs for Porezen, which direct us to a narrow and ascending road. After a short climb, we reach a ridge with a view of the Lower Bohinj Mountains. Higher up, the road passes into a forest, where it climbs moderately for some time, and then signs direct us to the right on a footpath that climbs up and along the abandoned cart track. After a few minutes we return to the road, but we follow it only briefly, as the signs for Porezen, lead us into the forest again, where we continue our ascent along the forest track. A few 10 steps higher, we come to a dirt road, but we just cross it and climb steeply up the steps on the other side. The path continues into a dense forest, where it then climbs moderately to steeply. Following the marked route is a little more difficult in a few places due to the significant forks and shortcuts, but otherwise there are no major orientation problems. Higher up, the trail turns slightly more to the right and becomes more visible. After a few minutes of easy walking, you emerge from the forest into a slightly larger, but rather overgrown clearing. Continue on the marked path, which gradually turns into a sparse forest, through which it climbs moderately. Higher up, the forest thins out a little more, opening up more and more beautiful views of the Lower Bohinj Mountains. Continue along the right-hand side around the nondescript Pohoški kup (1542 m) and, just a few metres beyond its summit, step onto the main ridge of Porezno, the top of which is already clearly visible ahead. A few minutes of easy walking and a very scenic route quickly leads us to the Home of Andrej Žvan - Boris on Porezno.

Vreme prečudovito, brez veterčka...prijazno osebje v koči. Večina poti se vije skozi gozd, tako da se šele proti koncu odpre pogled na sosednje gorovje (Črna prst, Rodica, Triglav, Debela peč...)...res prečudovit razgled....priporočam obisk.

Bil sem gor minulo soboto. Poglej na forum.Šel sem od Petrovega Brda. Šele ko prideš na greben se začne sneg. Mislim, da ga bistveno več ni kot zadnjič. Zmerom pa je treba imeti pozimi s sabo vsaj male dereze.Jaz zadnjič derez ne za gor ,ne za dol do koče nisem uporabil. Edino od koče do vrha sem jih nadel, ker je bilo totalno ledeno.
