Access to the starting point:
Access from Gorenjska: Via Border crossing Rateče or Predel to Trbiž / Tarvisio and then along the motorway towards Udine to the Tolmezzo exit. From Tolmezzo, follow the road towards Ampezzo and the Passo della Mauria mountain pass. The road then descends and leads to a crossroads where you turn left (possibly right) towards Cortina d'Ampezzo. At all subsequent junctions, follow the signs for Cortina d'Ampezzo.
In Cortina d'Ampezzo, follow the signs for the Passo di Falzarego Alpine pass. At this pass, you reach a crossroads where you follow the road on the left towards Marmolada and the village of Arabba (Alta Badia on the right). The road descends for some time before reaching a crossroads where you continue on the right towards Passo Pordoi (Marmolada on the left). Follow the road, which is relatively wide and ascending, all the way to the pass, where you park in a large parking lot.
From the coastal side: Take the motorway towards Venice/Venezia. At Portogruaro, leave the motorway towards Venice and turn right on the motorway towards Pordenone. At the next motorway junction near Conegliano, turn right towards Belluno. The motorway ends near Belluno and we continue towards Cortina d'Ampezzo at the next junctions. Continue as described above.
Path description:
From the parking lot, first cross the road carefully and then take route 627 (direction Piz Boe). The path first climbs slightly steeper over a grassy slope with a view, then it flattens out and leads to a rockier world. The path then turns slightly to the left and starts climbing steeply again. After a few minutes of further walking, we finally leave the grassy slopes and the path turns into a rough world, over which we climb on a fairly wide path. The path once again lies higher up and leads to a marked crossroads.
Continue straight ahead on route 627 towards huts Rifugio Forcella Pordoi and Rifugio Boe (Ferrata C. Piazzetta on the right). The path continues on an increasingly steep scree slope, which takes some energy. This path, which is also exposed to falling stones in the upper part, is then followed all the way to the Rifugio Forcella Pordoi mountain hut, which is the only one to be reached once you have climbed to the top of the aforementioned scree.
From the hut, continue right towards the summit and hut Rifugio Boe. Next, a very wide and gently sloping path, then crossing the slopes to the east for some time, then leading into a more plateau-like world, where you come to a marked crossroads.
We continue to the left towards hut Rifugio Boe, and straight ahead towards the summit of Piz Boe. From the crossroads, our route crosses the slopes to the north, climbing gently alongside the glacier. The path here is wide enough and well protected so that the ascent is not too difficult. The trail continues for some time, crossing the slopes on the west side of the Piz Boe peak, occasionally climbing a little. The path is quite gentle throughout and soon we have a view towards the Rifugio Boe hut. From here it is only a short descent to the hut.

Taka kot je na sliki je bila koča nekaj let nazaj, sedaj je vsaj podvojena, saj so ji na zah strani dodali zelo veliko moderno stavbo.
