Access to the starting point:
From the Friuli highway in Carnia, continue past Tolmezzo towards Villa Santina on the SS52 national road, and from there on the SS355 towards Sappade. In Ovaro, the signpost for Mione points to the right and under the road and across the Degano stream.
Through Liunt and Mione, follow the increasingly narrow, steep, newly (2014) asphalted road through the beech woods on numerous curves to the Passo della Forcella pass, where there is some parking space on both sides of the road.
Path description:
At the pass, take the comfortable, marked trail south and follow it to the summit ridge (about an hour and a half), where the trail turns to the left and along the slightly steeper and exposed summit ridge you reach the lookout peak in less than an hour.
A little lower on the west side of the saddle, a marked path comes out of the valley and after a few hundred metres joins the one described here on the ridge.
At the top there is a cross with a bell and a register.
