Access to the starting point:
From central Slovenia, take the Gorenjska highway, leaving in Hrušice and continuing on the regional road through the Upper Sava Valley past Rateč to Trbiž / Tarvisio. West of Trbiž, continue on the SS13 trunk road towards Udine and leave before Humino/Gemona di Friuli. In the centre of the town, a roadside sign directs you to the left and uphill in the serpentines towards the agritourism at mountain pasture Karman. But long before that, at one of the right-hand bends, we turn left onto a steep concrete maintenance road, which after 200 metres takes us to a parking lot in front of the Vegliata torrent bridge.
Path description:
From the parking lot, follow the CAI 713 stone track into the forest. After a few minutes, turn right onto CAI 717, which winds in switchbacks up a steep slope to the edge of a wooded ridge. A tarmac road climbs over a small grassy flat towards mountain pasture Karman. Beyond, you come across a chapel (surprisingly dedicated to Gilles Villeneuve, the Canadian Formula 1 driver who tragically crashed in 1982), which you pass again into the woods. Soon we pass a holiday home, and from there we climb a little more steeply through a shallow ravine. In between, the path is crossed twice by the tractor logging trail. After a few minutes, the arduous climb is over, as you reach a grassy slope, which you cross to reach an electric fence. We have to find a suitable place to cross over to the forest road, which is marked by the mountain pasture Karman. The CAI 715 can be joined in 500 m at the wide turning point at the end of the road, or a few tens of metres higher up by a shortcut, where you have to cross the electric fence again. Continue on CAI 715 through steep meadows past the Pischiutti shelter towards the top slope, where the path from mountain pasture Karman soon joins from the left. After a few metres we reach the summit with the chapel.

Minilo že kar nekaj časa odkar sem bil tam in me prijetno preseneča slika zavetišča-prej zanikrna lopa. Tista "arhitekturna" stvaritev na vrhu pa je za moj okus še vedno odbijajoča.

Zgornja etaža ni še v uporabi - sicer služi bolj kot "piknik platz" lokalnim zanesenjakom.
Tisto arhitekturno obeležje na vrhu pa tudi jaz najraje spregledam, a domačinom očitno zelo veliko pomeni. jbg.
