Parking place below Nassfeld - Malvuerich Alto

Access to the starting point:
After the border crossing in Rateče, drive through Trbiž / Tarvisio, Ukve / Ugovizza to Tablja / Pontebba, where you turn right after the signs "Passo di Pramollo / Nassfeld" (Slovenian Wetlands). Shortly before the pass, a dirt road turns left at a right-hand bend. At the crossroads there are signposts and a small parking lot.

Path description:
At the parking lot, take the macadam road, which is closed to traffic, and after a few metres you will reach a crossroads where the road to Mokrine / Nassfeld Pass branches off to the right. We continue to the left along the road, which in about half an hour, with gentle ups and downs, leads us to mountain pasture at hut Baita Winkel (1470 m). At mountain pasture, turn left after the Rosskofel Ostgrat signs. The path crosses a stream and begins to climb in switchbacks through the forest. Just before the ridge you reach a crossroads where you turn left after the Malvueric markings, the right path leads to Rosskofel (2240 m). The path becomes slightly more level and leads to a ridge with a beautiful view to the south. Soon the path starts to climb quite steeply and turns slightly to the right onto the southern slopes, which are slightly exposed in places. The path then turns to the left and leads us back to the north side of the ridge. Here the path becomes quite exposed. There are a lot of rocks on the path, and in wet conditions the path is also quite muddy, making it quite dangerous to slip on. When the path leads us back to the southern slopes, the problems end and there is only a short climb up a grassy slope to the top.
