Medvedova konta - Brda (west path)

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Lesce and follow the road in the direction of Bled, where you will be directed to the right at a semaphore crossroads marked for Pokljuka. Follow this road, which in the lower part takes us through a few villages and later starts to climb steeply, to Mrzle Studenec (a mountain located just 50m after the junction where the road to Bohinj branches off to the left). In the middle of the mountain pasture the main road branches off to the right, leading to Medvedova konte, Pri Rupah and mountain pasture Javornik. Turn right here and follow the road to the next crossroads, where you continue to the right in the direction of Medvedova kontra (straight ahead to Javornik mountain). The road descends after a short climb and leads to the next crossroads, where you continue to the left in the direction of Blejska hut. Follow this road to the parking area in front of the ramp.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along a worse road closed with a barrier, which quickly turns into cart track. The moderately steep cart track is soon joined by the mountain pasture Javornik. The ascent continues along the very wide cart track, which leads us in a slight ascent to the mountain pasture grazing area of Lipanca in a few minutes. Here the path turns right and leads us in a moderate ascent along the right-hand lower edge of the above-mentioned mountain pasture. This is followed by crossing a grassy slope and the path which leads us back into the forest makes a sharp right turn at the NOB monument, after which we come to the shepherd's and mountaineer's hut at mountain pasture Lipanca.
From mountain pasture continue to the right along an initially poorly visible and even less well-marked path which, after a short climb, leads to the upper edge of mountain pasture, where there is also a small crossroads. Continue slightly left in the route Lipanski vrh, Brda and Debela peč along the path, which bypasses a larger sinkhole on the right. Just a little further on, the path from the "main" trail branches off towards Lipanski vrh. Continue slightly to the right in the direction of Debela peč along the path, which gradually begins to climb steeper and steeper. After crossing this slightly steeper part of the trail, we reach the next crossroads, where we continue left in the direction of Brda (straight ahead Debela peč). The trail continues to climb moderately through increasingly sparse forest and leads us on grassy slopes to a crossroads where we join the trail from Krma.
Continue to the right in the direction of Brda and Debela peč, but only until the next crossroads. Here, turn left up towards Brda and follow the path along the summit slope to the top, which you will reach without much difficulty.
