Access to the starting point:
On the main road from Brežice towards Bizeljske, turn left at the crossroads in the forest towards Globoke. In Globoke, go right past the primary school to Pišece, where you turn left towards the castle (tebla). A good half-kilometre from Pišece you reach a crossroads by a lake, where there is also a signpost for Pišece Castle. Park at or just after the lake.
Path description:
Keep cart track towards the castle. After 200m, turn right uphill to reach the castle or continue straight ahead on the road, which shortens the route by 5 minutes. At the castle you can fill up with water and continue past the building under the castle and left across the meadow to the path leading back to cart track. Climb up through the beech forest. Keep to cart track up and slightly right, which gets a bit worse. After 40 minutes from the castle, you will reach a marked trail and a hunting lodge. Above the lodge is a crossroads. You can either take the wider ("main") marked path, which will take you to the top in a quarter of an hour, or go left, past the monument to the unfortunate hunter (also marked), which is almost 10' longer but to me a better option, suitable for descent. At the top there is a kite take-off, a table with a bench and a cross with a signing book and a stamp.
