Lovrenc na Pohorju - Klančnik (Glančnik) (via Povh, Brabar and Hudej)

Access to the starting point:
a) From the Maribor - Dravograd road, between the Fala HPP and the Ožbalt HPP, turn left towards Lovrenc na Pohorju (from the route of Dravograd turn right). On the other side of the Drava, start climbing along Radoljna, and at the marked crossroads, take a slight right along the main road towards Lovrenec to Pohorje. When you arrive in Lovrenc na Pohorje, follow the main road, and in the centre of the village turn right towards the primary school, where you can park in the parking lot next to the school. You can also park elsewhere in the village, where there are a few free parking spaces.
b) Drive into Ruše, then follow the road towards Lovrenec to Pohorje. At Činžat you will reach a pass where the road starts to descend, and at a lower point go left towards Lovrenec na Pohorju. When you reach Lovrenc na Pohorju, follow the main road, and in the centre of the village, turn right towards the primary school, where you can park in the parking lot next to the school. You can also park elsewhere in the settlement, where there are a few free parking spaces.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the road on the left (the right road leads to the Holiday Village), which continues westwards and soon forks. Continue on the right road, which starts to descend through the forest, and lower down you reach the Slepnica stream, where you reach another road and a marked crossroads.
Continue left in the direction of Lehn on Pohorje and Radelj ob Dravi (right and then left St Ignatius past Kapus and the hunting lodge (Glančnik) and continue walking along the gently sloping asphalt road that leads through the valley. Soon another path branches off to the right towards St Ignatius (the path past Zgornji Dobnik), and we continue along the gently sloping asphalt road, walking along it to the confluence of the Slepnice and Povhova brooks, where the road forks.
Continue along the side road to the right towards Dobnik hut, where you initially continue walking on the asphalt road. From the road, a little further to the right, a road branches off to the Dobnik cottage (private land), and we continue straight on and follow the road to the next crossroads, from which we go left in the direction of the Grobelnik and Povh homesteads.
Continue along the steeper road through the forest, and higher up, pass the two aforementioned homesteads on the left.
Higher up, we reach a small pass, where we see a cross on the left, and we go right off the road and the crossroads to cart track (the left road descends towards the village of Lehen on Pohorje, and the right road leads to a few more homesteads.
The way ahead leads along cart track, along which the markings are quite sparse, and a little further on, when you reach the noticeably wider cart track, continue to the right (if you continue to the left, cart track ends quickly), initially slightly downhill, but as you approach the road, continue straight on and continue following cart track. Walk a few steps along the wider cart track, then go slightly left on the steeper cart track, which soon leads out of the woods, where you see the signs for the Church of St Ignatius. Continue through the lane of the forest, and you will reach the Brabar homestead, where you are again quite close to the dirt road. Go around the homestead on the left, then turn slightly right and climb to the edge of the forest where the path splits.
Continue along the slightly left cart track, which has markers for St Ignatius, and then there are a few forks where you choose cart track, which climbs, and at a few of the forks you can also see markers or faded markings. Higher up, the path becomes more and more scenic, and at the marker you reach an asphalt road, which you follow to the right (St Ignatius and Hlebov vrh on the left).
After a few steps you reach the Hudej homestead, which you pass on the left and continue in the direction of Hunting cottage Klančnik (also Glančnik). After a few minutes of gentle to moderate ascent, the road leads to a parking area near a hunting lodge. From the parking lot, it is a minute's walk to Hunting cottage Klančnik, which offers a beautiful view towards the central part of Pohorje.
From the hunting lodge, follow the path towards the Ožbalt hydroelectric power station, passing the hunting lodge on the left. After a few minutes of scenic ascent on a grassy slope, you will reach the 877 m high summit.
