Access to the starting point:
Leave the Coastal Expressway at the exit for Pula, Poreč and Šmarje. Continue along the main road towards Šmarje, leaving at the roundabout by the OMV petrol station and taking the exit towards Marezige and Vanganel. Continue towards Vanganel, but only as far as the crossroads where the road to Kampel turns right (there is a bus station Kapelca before the crossroads). Turn right and park at a suitable place at the crossroads.
Path description:
From the starting point, continue along the asphalt road, which will take you to Kampel in a few minutes. In the village, the road starts to climb, and at the crossroads, follow the markings. The road climbs higher and leaves the village, leading through a viewpoint. When the road turns sharp right at a higher point, we leave it and just a few steps before the bend we continue on the lower road, from which we soon go left (the markings are clearly visible on the part where we go left, but the markings for Pomjan are blurred).
A few 10 steps further on, go right from the worse road leading to the private house and start climbing up the forest path used by mountain bikers for descending. There is a steep climb up a dock, along which you can see only a few old, partly faded, markings.
Higher up, join the newer path, which you follow to the left, and at the crossroads follow the markings. Then cross the slopes to the left, where you first walk through the forest, and then reach a viewpoint from where you have a beautiful view towards Pomjan and the surrounding hills. A little further on, the path leads to the first house, and after it, you enter a minor road, which leads you up to the centre of the village.
When you reach the asphalt, continue left and walk past the NOB memorial to the parish church of St. George in Pomjan. From the church, continue along the road towards Marezige, and at the end of the village, when the road has already descended a little, you will reach a lookout point with a viewing platform.
