Kambreško - Globočak

Access to the starting point:
From Nova Gorica go to Tolmin or vice versa, and we follow the road to Ročinj, where the signs for Kambreško direct us left (and right from Tolmin). After 4 km we reach Kambreško, and at the crossroads in the middle of the village we turn right towards Srednje and Livko. Just a few metres further on, park in a suitable parking space next to the NOB monument. There are no parking spaces at the starting point.

Path description:
Near the NOB monument, you will see signs for the route to Globočak, which will direct you to a side road that climbs through the village. Above the village, the road ends and we continue along the grassy cart track, which quickly leads to a nicely arranged mountain signpost for Globočak (the signpost is located on a small trestle, but unfortunately points in the wrong direction).
From the board, do not continue right as the arrow indicates, but continue straight up along the edge of the forest. The path is quite overgrown and then turns into a forest through which it climbs steeply. A little higher up, you come to the old cart track, which is followed at a moderate incline to the second wider cart track, which is followed to the left. Continue briefly on the above-mentioned cart track, and then the markers for Globočak direct you left onto a gradually steeper footpath. Higher up, we pass a small cavern, and then the path leads us over a short, very steep slope, where there is a danger of slipping, especially in the ice. The way forward quickly lays down and leads us to the forested ridge Globočak, where we join the path from Srednji. Here we continue to the right and after a minute of further walking we arrive at the forested summit.
From the top you can descend in a few minutes to two nearby caverns.
