Jakob pri Šentjurju - Rifnik

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Maribor take the exit Dramlje and follow the road in the route Šentjur. In Šentjur, at the traffic lights, continue straight into the underpass under the railway line and follow the road in the direction of Šentrupert. Park in the roadside parking lot, about 1km after the signpost for the end of Šentjur (near the road to Rifnik - an archaeological site).

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue left up the road towards Rifnik. After a few minutes of walking, a dirt road (near some useless games) turns off to the left, which you follow for a few steps. From this road, a marked path branches off to the right uphill, which after a short climb leads us to a worse road, which we follow to the left, but only for a few metres. The markings then direct us right up a footpath which climbs through the forest and leads us higher up past a farm where we can see some farm animals. After the farm, take a minor road, which quickly leads to a tarmac road, which you follow up to the left. The path then takes us past a few houses and leads us higher up to the signs for the archaeological site of Rifnik. Here the road ends and we continue past the house, across the meadow and into the forest. Next, join the path from Šentjur and follow it to the top.
