Hunting cottage Urška - Racna gora

Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Koper motorway, take the Unec exit and follow the road towards Cerknica. Continue through Cerknica, Martinjak and Grahovo to the village of Bloška polica, where at the crossroads turn right in the direction of the village of Lož (straight ahead Sodražica, access is also possible from this direction). Just after the village of Lož you will reach Stari trg pri Ložu, where you will turn left in the direction of the village of Markovec. At Markovec, turn left in the direction of Knežje njiva and continue along the ascending road, which takes you higher up to the next crossroads. Continue straight ahead (left Knežja njiva) on the dirt road which you follow until you reach the 6km road marker. Just past this marker we come to a crossroads where we turn right and then drive another 100m to the Urška hunting lodge, which is the starting point of our trip.

Path description:
From the Urška hunting lodge, follow the footpath towards Racna Gora. The trail initially follows the relatively folded cart track from which, after a few minutes' walk, a marked footpath branches off to the left. The path continues around a larger byte on the left and starts to climb steeply behind it. Already quite steep, the path crosses two cart track higher up the slope and climbs even steeper straight up the slope after them. The poorly visible but relatively well-marked path joins the path coming from Vrhnika near Loš just below the summit. Continue left and follow the path through the forest to the top of Racna gora.
