Forestry cottage Rovtarica - Počitniški dom Goričane

Access to the starting point:
a) First drive to Škofja Loka, then continue to Železniki. In Železniki turn right for the route Rudno, Dražgoše and Bohinjska Bistrica. Towards Dražgoše, drive to Rudno, then turn slightly left towards Bohinjska Bistrica. Continue along the macadam road for some time, which climbs moderately for the first 10 km and then begins to descend towards the forestry cottage at Rovtarica, where you park at a suitable place at the junction of several roads.
b) Drive to Bohinjska Bistrica and continue to Soriška planina. After a few kilometres of climbing, we arrive at a crossroads where the road to Soriška planina turns sharp right, and we continue straight on in the direction of Železniki and Škofja Loka. The road then becomes macadam, and we follow it to the forestry hut at Rovtarica, where we park in a suitable place at the junction of several roads.

Path description:
From Rovtarica, follow the road in the direction of Vodice, the Goška Ravan Mountain Home and Selska mountain pasture. The road first climbs past a few huts, then passes into the forest, where it quickly leads to a marked crossroads. From the crossroads, turn left in the direction Počitniški dom Goričane (straight ahead Goška Ravan) and continue along the road, which gradually passes into the Gladko valley. The route continues along the gently sloping road, which leads us a little further on to the next crossroads. This time continue straight ahead or slightly right, and we continue to follow the gently sloping road to the marked parking lot at the next crossroads.
Here we continue to the left (straight Oblakova planina and mountain pasture Tamar) and follow the worse road, which leads us past the ramp, to the Goričane Holiday Home in 3 minutes' walk.
