Access to the starting point:
Celje is easily accessible from several directions. Park at the train station near the bridge over the Savinja or in the immediate vicinity. If you arrive by train, you'll also have an ideal starting point.
Path description:
From the railway station, head towards Laško and cross the bridge over the Savinja River. Immediately on the other side of the bridge, turn right onto the road that leads along the river and after about 100 metres turn left, where immediately next to the narrow road that leads uphill, you will see an arched entrance with the inscription "Capuchin Steps". Climb the stairs, turn left at the top and go around the building. Behind the building, turn into a grassy area and climb up to the visible start of the path into the woods. Keep climbing, go left up the hill past the signpost pointing in the route (from where you came) for the "monastery", then follow the signs for the "lookout tower". Out of the forest you will come to a clearing with a small platform, the so-called Lookout Tower, which offers a view of the city of Celje and the Old Castle of Celje.
