Access to the starting point:
Celje, Slovenia's third largest city, is practically reachable from several sides. Park somewhere between the train station and the bridge over the Savinja towards Laško. The problem could be that the car parks are mostly pay-per-use. . . if you arrive by train, these problems are of course eliminated.
Path description:
From the centre of Celje, or the railway station, head towards Laško, where you cross the Savinja River bridge just after the roundabout. Immediately after the bridge, turn right along the asphalt road and after a good hundred metres turn left at the monastery along the same road uphill, which is also the start of the marked mountain trail. After a good 200 metres, the marked mountain path turns left as we continue up the road. We follow the road easily and turn left twice further on. Both junctions are well marked. Soon we reach the top of Miklavšek Hill, a few houses and cottages below the very top, while the church of St Nicholas dominates the summit, visible for miles around.

Danes nekaj vzpona višje v svet nad Celjem nad desnim in tudi levim bregom Savinje po opisani poti. Sledil sem nekje do slike vključno št. 5, v nadaljevanju po gozdni poti na Miklavški hrib...Ja, če bi bil doma iz Celja ali bližnje okolice bi večkrat po tej trasi ,,gonil,, kolo...Za specialko pravi svet, kratko in strmo...
