Španov vrh (Besnica)

Description of peak:
Španov vrh is a 559-metre-high peak above the valley of the Besnica stream between Podgrad and Besnica. Just below the summit is the Borovnice hiking trail (section Podgrad - Vnajnarje), from which it is easily accessible via a short "semi-official" trail. The ascent can be combined with other peaks in the immediate vicinity, e.g. Grmadnik. The summit without formal markings is covered with forest, so there is not much of a view from it, but there are better views from some of the other points in the vicinity.
