Description of mountain hut:
Hut Rifugio Toni Demetz is located on the Forcella Sassolungo notch between the precipitous walls of the Sassolungo and Cinque Dita peaks (5 fingers). From the hut you have a very nice view of the precipitous walls of the nearby peaks, and you can also see the Sella Group and the Marmolada. The hut was built in 1954. The hut is very well visited due to the relatively short access and the cable car.
