Lagazuoi Piccolo is a 2778m high mountain located north of the alpine pass of Pso Falzarego (2105m). From the top where the cross stands, we have a magnificent view of the highest peaks of Dolomites, where we can see the Marmolada and its glacier, and Tofana di Rozes, which, together with its neighbours Tofana di Mezzo and Tofana di Dentro, occupies the area west of Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Lagazuoi Piccolo is a mountain that is known mainly from a historical point of view. During the First World War, a fierce battle between the Italians and the Austro-Hungarian army took place on the mountain, which changed the image of the mountain. The mountain is perforated by numerous underground tunnels, which now form an interesting hiking trail that takes you, as it were, along the inside of the mountain to the summit.
Lagazuoi Piccolo also has the "bad" feature of having a cable car almost to the top of the mountain, which attracts thousands of tourists (skiers in winter) to the summit.
