Zavetišče v Hudičevem borštu

Description of mountain:
In the middle of the southern slopes of Cjanovca (the slopes of Zaplata), which is the top of the better known Srednji vrh, there is an interesting forest called Hudičev boršt. At the lower part of the forest, on the place where a hunting lodge once stod, a new mountain hut (Zavetišče v Hudičev boršt) has been built, which serves mountaineers, hunters, mountain rescuers and foresters... The shelter in Hudičev boršt, which is managed by PD Preddvor, is open from 31.3. to 31.10.2015 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. By prior arrangement, also on other days of the week.
The tale of the Devil's Bastion:
Once upon a time, there were two farmers who stubbornly fought over a forest until one of them shouted in anger: "Let the devil take it!". In a flash, the words came true, and the two peasants were left staring in terror after the infernal devil, who was racing towards the mountains with the forest on his back. He had just reached the middle when the bell rang at St James's. The devil lost his strength and dropped his burden in the middle of the hill.
